Big update! Shipping notifications, Digital Rewards, and Ambassador Points!

Hi everyone!

We've got a lot of news to share today, starting with a shipping update:

Domestic Address Verification Emails will be sent out tomorrow!

This is important because Quartermaster will start shipping Domestic North American orders (US+Canada) next week! If you are in the US or Canada, please watch for an email from @qmlogistics.com to verify the shipping address they have on file for your order. If you need to make any last-minute address changes, now is the time to do it! Otherwise, your package will be sent to whatever address is currently showing on your Backerkit order. You can verify what is currently on file by logging into your backer kit at https://temudjin.backerkit.com/.

International orders are being assembled into freight shipments bound for Quartermaster's three overseas partner warehouses (Spiral Galaxy in the UK for UK/EU orders, Aetherworks in Australia for AU/NZ orders, and VFI for Asia orders). Those freight shipments are currently expected to depart within the next two weeks or so. Once those hubs have received the goods, they'll be able to provide a more accurate shipping window for their territory. (Considering the holidays and peak shipping congestion, however, it's likely that those won't windows won't open until after the New Year...) Once the hubs are ready to start shipping to their regions, they will send out their own Address Verification Emails. We will, of course, keep you informed as best as we can as those dates approach.

Digital Rewards have been distributed through Backerkit!

If you are set to receive any digital rewards, you should receive an email from Backerkit shortly with your links. If you don't see that email soon, check your spam folder, or you can also simply log into your backer kit at https://temudjin.backerkit.com/ where you should see a big blue button in the middle of the page that says "Get Your Digital Downloads." Click on that button to find all of your digital items waiting for you. They are primarily Gumroad links with discount codes to receive those PDFs for free. There are instructions with each link for how to access those files with your discount.

Of course, if any of the process is confusing, please feel free to message us directly here on Kickstarter. 😊

You've got Ambassador Points!

If you missed the mention on the campaign page, every pledge includes a number of Ambassador Points equivalent to their final order total (including postage). These are special reward points that can be collected and redeemed for discounts and rewards on our webstore, and a great way to further support Magnetic Press (while building up a collection of cool stuff in the process)!

If you are already a webstore customer and part of the program, just log into your webstore account (which should be the same email address as your Kickstarter/Backerkit account). You should see those new points added to your balance under the heading "TEMUDJIN Kickstarter Points."

If you don't have an account on our webstore, your points have been entered, but you will need to complete registration to use them. 😊

For a walkthrough of how to register, just follow the steps in this update from a previous campaign:

You can use points for discount codes, gift cards, and occasionally for exclusive collectible items that you can only get using points! It's definitely a fun program that we'll be building on very soon!

If you don't see those points in your account or have any questions about the above, please send us a message here on Kickstarter and we'll get back to you ASAP. Please note that if you haven't completed your Backerkit order, your points have not been awarded yet, so check to make sure your survey and any remaining payments are complete.

Hi everyone!

Just a quick update on what’s happening as of today, October 17th –

We're in the process of processing the TEMUDJIN order data and final item delivery to Quartermaster for fulfillment really soon. The coins and patches are on their way (we'll share some photos once we have them in hand), and the satchels look really nice. The printed items are in production now, and the books themselves are in-hand and ready to go. At this date, we expect to have everything at QML by the first or second week of November so that they can start shipping pledges by the end of next month. We will, of course, keep you all posted.

In the meantime, you may have seen mention of our next campaign on social media (or maybe even your inbox, if you’re on our mailing list) – we’re extremely excited for tomorrow’s launch of THE MONKEY KING graphic novel campaign!

If you aren’t familiar with the legend of The Monkey King or are only passingly familiar with the ancient Chinese fantasy epic Journey to the West, it is the story of Sun Wukong, a divine monkey born from a stone who gains supernatural knowledge and power. His mischievous nature and pride put him at odds with the heavens, and he is sentenced to escort a monk on an epic journey filled with magic and danger to redeem himself. It is like a Wushu Wizard of Oz, arguably the most well-known fantasy tale worldwide. This 320-page graphic novel retelling by artist/author Chaiko is a feast for the eyes and imagination!

As usual, we are giving away FREE linen cardstock prints to those who pre-register their pledge, PLUS everyone who pre-registers is signed up for a chance to win one of three 10” metal replicas of Wukong’s famous staff. (Pledging is not required to sign up for the giveaway, but if you do pledge, we will duplicate your entry so that your odds are DOUBLED!)

Please check out the campaign when it launches tomorrow! We think you’ll really love this book, and a strong first day will help us out immensely!

You may be thinking “wow, Neurobellum sure does launch a lot of projects… didn’t TEMUDJIN just end a few weeks ago?” Well, it was seven weeks ago, but you’d still be right – we freely admit that in today’s economy, Kickstarter has become a real cornerstone for our business. We try to schedule them with a comfortable gap between the close of one and the launch of another, but as you might expect, fulfillment does quite often overlap. Over the past year and half, we’ve tried to take advantage of those overlapping campaigns to offer pledge-bundling opportunities to save you (a not-insignificant amount) on shipping. This has worked out pretty well so far, and we’ve been pretty punctual in hitting our promised ship dates, particularly for domestic/North American orders. (International turnaround has proven to be a continuing challenge, though, and we’re working with our fulfillment partners to reduce the extra slow shipping time that International backers have had to wait… We appreciate your patience, fans abroad!)

We’re incredibly proud of the community we’ve built here on Kickstarter. You all are OUTSTANDING, and as a platform, this is by far our favorite stage upon which to engage some truly passionate, discerning, and enthusiastic fans such as yourselves. We’ve made some real friends here, and we’re thrilled to see so many people return from one campaign to the next! On average, 5-18% of each subsequent campaign is made up of return backers, which means that each new project brings 82-95% new fans into the fold! That’s what really excites us about Kickstarter – the opportunity to expose as many people to these fabulous books as possible. Hopefully, as a backer of this campaign, you would agree that these books and authors deserve it. 😊

If you are one of those wonderful repeat backers, you’ll probably see this update cut-and-pasted to a number of different campaigns – while we know that some of you might see this more than once, we want to be sure that everyone hears about the latest project and discovery opportunity. So please forgive us for any redundancy in your inbox knowing that those duplicates are meant for the rest of the backers who might only have followed this one campaign. 😊

Backerkit Lock Notifications sent out - surveys due by MONDAY MORNING!

Happy Saturday, everyone!

As mentioned in the previous update, we have initiated the survey lock on Backerkit which means you have until 10am CST Monday morning to make any final adjustments to your order. This includes address changes, add-ons, payment information, and of course finishing the survey in the first place. If you have not done so yet, PLEASE COMPLETE YOUR SURVEY THIS WEEKEND! If you don't, we don't know where to send your stuff! 

There are about 29 incomplete surveys still waiting for info, and if yours is one of them, your order will not ship in the first wave of orders going out in late-November. A second wave will be planned for sometime in January or February, once all initial orders are complete and inventory can be recounted. (And as a general reminder, any surveys left unanswered for more than six months cannot be guaranteed to arrive complete, as our campaigns tend to include limited quantities of certain exclusive items.)

If you aren't sure if you have completed your survey, please log into https://temudjin.backerkit.com/ with your Kickstarter-associated email address. You should find your Backerkit account there with all of your survey information. If for some reason that doesn't work for you, message us here, and we can respond with your personal invitation link.

We're currently cooking up something very cool that we think you might really love. While we are pretty choosy about all of our projects and proud of every single one of them, there are some that really excite me personally, and this next one is one of those... Stay tuned! More info will be ready soon!

Magnetic-Con'22 VIP Loot Boxes added to Backerkit! Reminder to finish your surveys by NEXT FRIDAY!

Hi everyone!

Just a quick update to let you know that we have identified a very limited number of leftover Magnetic-Con'22 Loot Boxes left over from that campaign! Packages have started rolling out with more to continue over the next 2 weeks, and we count 25 LEFTOVER LOOT BOXES STILL AVAILABLE. So if you missed out on the Magnetic-Con campaign, or held out with the hopes that some of the items might be available to fold into a later campaign shipment (such as this one), you're in luck!

These boxes contain a huge assortment of cool loot and artwork, including our first annual Magnetic-Con Art Book 1 and the official Magnetic-Con lanyard and plastic badge.

If you want to add a copy to your Temudjin order, hurry over to Backerkit and update your order to add one of those few copies to your order before they are gone! You should be able to update your order by logging into your Backerkit account at https://temudjin.backerkit.com/ and clicking on the "Edit Your Order" button at the top right of the screen. From there you should be able to "Edit Add-ons" (as well as any other information you wish to modify).

As a reminder, Backerkit orders will be locked down next Friday October 7th! So to the 168 of you who have not completed your surveys, PLEASE LOG IN AND DO THAT SOON! If your survey is still open when we lock down orders, you will have to wait until the second wave of fulfillment which might not be until January, and we cannot guarantee that all items will still be available at that point. All incomplete orders will be closed 6 months after initial lock date!

We will of course remind you again next week ahead of time, but the sooner you take care of it, the less nagging you'll get from by us. 😉

Our gaming partner campaign is now live - KLAW: WERE-WARS Card game and Graphic Novel series!

Hi everyone, 

Survey results have been rolling in -- thanks for taking care of that quickly! There are still about 25% left to be answered, but that's a great start, and we still have a few weeks before we lock orders. We also hope to have the final count of any recent Magnetic-Con'22 loot boxes left over from that campaign, and once we do, we will add those to Backerkit in case anyone missed that campaign or wants to add one to their TEMUDJIN shipment. 😊

In the meantime, we wanted to let you know about the newest Kickstarter campaign by Magnetic Press's gaming division, Magnetic Press Play -- KLAW: WERE-WARS that just launched this morning!

The campaign is for both the four-volume graphic novel series by Ozanam and Jurion and also for the brand-new Combat Card-and-Dice tabletop game! You can back the project for only the graphic novels, for just the game series, or both! You don't have to be a gamer to help support the campaign!

If you're not familiar with the KLAW series, it opens with teenager Angel Thomassini as he first encounters the secret world of Dizhi as the unwitting recipient of the Tiger Totem. His world is turned upside down from that moment on, introducing him to an entire universe of hidden powers and agendas struggling to maintain a balance between order and chaos. As he grows through the series, he encounters a cast of conflicted characters with shifting priorities, each revealing yet another layer of intrigue. It's an ongoing tale of outsiders and misfits, teens and adults, all put in complicated situations over the primordial powers they've been granted.
