Hi everyone!

It has been a busy week, and we're happy to say that 

 Backerkit surveys have been sent out! 

In fact, you may have already received your links and responded. If so -- thank you! If you haven't received your survey link yet, check your spam folder for messages from "[email protected]". It may start with the words "Response Needed --". If you don't see that message and don't receive anything like that by Monday, please message us here on Kickstarter and we'll gladly look up your unique survey link for you.

This is going to be a relatively short Survey window, as we want to have everything ready for the warehouse to start shipping in November. The books are already inbound from the printer, and the "Journeyman" and Stretch Goal bonuses have been ordered. In order to give the warehouse sufficient time to assemble the items and coordinate the various regional deliveries, we will be locking Backerkit orders on Friday, October 7th. That's three weeks from today! Once we initiate the order lock, Backerkit will give everyone 48 hours' notice to make sure their address and payment information is correct. After 48 hours (that following Monday, October 10th), they will automatically charge your credit cards for any balances due. Please make sure your order can be locked that weekend! Any orders that are not complete by Monday, October 10th will miss the initial fulfillment window and fall into a "late survey" window sometime after initial orders are complete (which might not be until January...) That gets especially complicated for International orders that will have to wait to piggyback with another campaign shipping to that region.

Are there Magnetic-Con'22 items left over to add to your TEMUDJIN order?

We are actually in the process of figuring that out now. ;)

The Magnetic-Con campaign orders are being processed and packed this week, so we should have a good idea what might be left available to add to Backerkit. So while you won't see any of those items in Backerkit now, we will post an update as soon as we can confirm whether anything can/has been added.

We understand most of you here may be less interested in tabletop/card games, but we really want to spotlight the graphic novel series being offered in this campaign as well -- If you aren't familiar with KLAW, it is an internationally popular action series by prolific writer Antoine Ozanam and fan-favorite artist Joel Jurion following the adventures of Angel Thomassini as he navigates a secret war between ancient animal spirits and their human were-hosts. It has been described as "Animorphs meets X-Men", but really it is an awesome, exciting, and unique new universe full of so much adventure... It has been one of our favorite titles for the past 7 years, and it really has become massively universal in scope.

We've collected the first 12 volumes of the original French series into 3 hardcover volumes in English, with the newest 4th volume debuting as part of this new Kickstarter campaign. 

Yes, the real meat of the campaign is admittedly the brand new, original card and dice game, WERE-WARS, but we really think you will be interested in even just the graphic novel tiers!

There are lots of other campaign-exclusive bonuses and cool add-ons being offered as well. The game itself is a fun card-and-dice game of conquest and combat set amidst the secret, ancient struggle between the supernormal animal spirit Totems and their human "Dizhi" hosts. You deploy your chosen Dizhi champion, fortify them with powerful Totems and Items, and pit them against 2-3 other players to see who can become the most powerful Dizhi, eliminating all contenders. There are millions of possible Champion combinations with dozens of Hosts, Totems, Items, and Instant Action cards. The game has been designed to be easy to learn, but filled with unpredictable variables that can turn the tables in an instant! Hi everyone!

It has been a busy week here, and we're happy to say that Backerkit is all set up and in review by the good folks there. Kickstarter has already started charging you for your pledges and if they run into any trouble with your credit card, they should notify you to address the potential issue. They will keep trying for about 2 weeks, at which point, they will officially close the campaign. Any pledges that could not be collected will be marked as "canceled" so please try to make sure your cards go through! (If your pledge does get marked as uncollected, you will still have an opportunity to pay it in Backerkit, but better safe than sorry!)

As soon as Kickstarter finishes their process (which should be next Friday), we will send out the Backerkit surveys to everyone. This will be a relatively short survey period! We would like to lock down orders and addresses on October 1st. We fully expect to have everything in hand from the printers and manufacturers in October so we'd like to have Quartermaster ready to start shipping packages in November.  (Digital rewards will be distributed before that, in mid-October, following the Backerkit lockdown.)

We'll post another update when surveys are ready with more details at that time.

We did it! Just under the wire, with less than an hour to go, you managed to unlock the final stretch goal! Woohoo!

We will follow up with a bigger post this weekend outlining what happens next (Survey schedule, Backerkit dates, etc), so stay tuned!

Hi everyone,

Wouldn't you know it -- I mentioned in the last update how we had been holding back on posting updates as historically/analytically they have shown to lead to a spike in cancelations. In that update, I theorized how it seemed pretty random and organic, and simply part of the campaign process. Well, guess what happened after posting that update... 😂

I share that statistic only out of academic curiosity -- we are not complaining about things at all! We're doing great, and fortunately, there are far many more new backers to replace those who left. (And some of them even left coveted copies of NILS available for others to snap up, so that's a plus for some folks!)

Yesterday you all unlocked the fifth stretch goal, leaving the last one to be revealed. We did, in fact, update the campaign page with that reveal, but got distracted with some other Life Business and failed to share that here with you as we intended to last night. SORRY FOR THE LATE REVEAL!

In keeping with the in-world artifact theme, this faux-leather patch features a Tibetan mandala showing the world and the worlds beyond (which Temudjin travels in the book). And if we hit $60k, all physical pledge tiers will get one for FREE. That's less than $2k away! With six hours left! Can we make it? (All signs suggest "yes" but anything can happen...)

Hi everyone!

We hope you are all doing well -- thank you so much for your support on this short campaign so far! We really didn't know what to expect in just 10 days, but we're excited to have unlocked four stretch goals already, with the last two actually within sight! 🤩

We're also sorry we haven't posted more updates over the past several days -- those of you who have followed us through previous campaigns know that we're usually a lot more chatty with regular updates throughout, but recently we were told (by some proven experts) that updating actually leads to a spike in cancellations immediately after an update is posted. We hadn't really noticed or watched for that trend in the past, but when they pointed it out, we could see some correlation. So this time, we thought we'd limit our communication to the Comments forum and by updating the campaign page itself. But really... I dunno if that mattered. In tracking the number of pledges and cancellations per day, the needle still went up and down regardless of whether we posted an update or not. Honestly, it could have been the day of the week, or something in the news, or a cloud passing overhead... who knows. Campaign analytics is not a perfect science.

So we'll be a bit more open and accessible moving forward. 😉

Not that there's much time left before closing however -- less than 48 hours! And the next-to-last Stretch Goal is creeping up quickly! Here's what we've unlocked so far:

That third linen cardstock print is so close you can practically smell the reeds in the mud... If we manage to crack that lock tomorrow, we'll reveal the final $60k goal. We're not trying to overhype it -- it's nice, but it's not like a new car or anything. We're just keeping it a secret to build the intrigue in the final act. 😉
